I'm a NYC based analyst, specializing in data analysis and business development.
Welcome! I'm Casey, a New York City based data analyst and business developer.
My formal background is in applied mathematics. So it's no surprise that I like working with numbers and data sets, whether that's crunching numbers in Excel, performing regression trends in SAS, or analyzing stock variance through Quandl API. That's not all I do though. I value the importance of work/life balance; when I'm not working I'm most likely perfecting grandma's recipes, playing dreamy tunes on the kalimba, or traveling the world.
Shortly after graduating from university, I made the decision to put my career on hold and embarked on a 6 month long journey across South America. The journey began in the rain forest of Nicaragua and continued to the southern most tip of Patagonia. Along the way I've improved my Spanish and volunteered in environmental protection efforts.
I am now back home and ready to take on new responsibilties.

A few things I've worked on:
The program parses the datbase of NYC abridged tree census and returns relevant information based on longitude and latitude input.
Newton’s method is a method to approximate solutions to an equation f(x) = 0 very quickly. This program calculates the yield of a bond by using the discounted future values.
The program will asks the user to enter in A, B and an even integer N, and uses Simpson’s rule with N intervals to approximate the value of the integral.
One of the problem sets for MTH 4300. Recreating the merge sort algorithm from scratch.
Snipets of my summer internship at Imprint, condensed into the form of easy to digest podcast.
